There is truly no better place in the world for a dreamy forest wedding than the Pacific Northwest. Think green, woodland backdrops amidst a forest that can only be compared to that of a fairytale.
With so much to choose from, it can be hard to find a forest venue that fits your exact criteria AND is unique enough to accurately represent you and your partner. In this post, I’ll cover 8 PNW forest wedding venues that will add some extra spice to your special day.
Vacation rentals make excellent venues that allow you to curate every last detail – whether it’s thrifting each piece of decor, renting vintage mid-century seating for your guests, or stringing cozy lights all throughout the surrounding trees.
Here are some woodland options that give you total freedom for your small wedding.

Mt. Baker Lodge sleeps over 16 people and is privately nestled in the woods of Glacier, Washington near Mt. Baker. As you can see in the listing photos, weddings are encouraged! This is huge when it comes to AirB&B weddings because many couples get discouraged with finding one that does allow events. We’ll take photos deep in the forest by the water, and set up your ceremony just in front of the home.
My vision? Woodland decor full of vintage pieces and greenery! We can leverage the surrounding trees to create an unforgettable arbor that’ll make for one-of-a-kind photos. Want even MORE gorgeous photos in nature? Then let’s make the 40 minute drive up to Artist Point for golden hour photos overlooking Mt. Baker!

Located in Kingston, WA, a town just a ferry ride away from Seattle, this absolute gem of a mid-century home is situated on a full 27 acres. There are expansive fields to set up a ceremony, lush Pacific Northwest forest for unbelievable photos, and a home that sleeps up to 14 people. Excellent for your small wedding! Keep in mind that there is an additional booking fee if you decide to get married here, but by the looks of it, it will absolutely be worth it.
Peerspace is essentially Airbnb for workspaces, studios, meeting spaces, parties, and venues. Why should you use it to find a wedding venue? Well, anyone can list their space on Peerspace. Meaning you can find an amazing hidden gem of a venue that might not be listed on your typical wedding venue site and will generally be more affordable. Here are a few of my favorites.
The Emerald Forest is the PERFECT outdoor spot for your 50-person wedding. It gives woodland. It gives boho. And most importantly, it gives pure Pacific Northwest in an accessible area just outside of Redmond, Washington. Wed to a stunning backdrop of redwoods and treehouses strung together by suspended wooden bridges. This venue is nothing short of magic!
Perfect for small weddings, this adorable ranch on the Skykomish River is nestled in the woods of Index, Washington just one hour west of Seattle. The property boasts three cabins and a small conference center that was once a barn for llamas! What I love most about this venue is that you can build your arbor directly on the river overlooking the mountains of Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. This would be a perfect venue for couples looking for something a bit more rustic!
The Field House sits on 49 woodland acres in Granite Falls, Washington. It’s a small, trendy pavilion in a giant field that can be decorated however you choose. We can venture into the woods on the outskirts of the field for dreamy photos, and set up a ceremony overlooking the neighboring river. This venue comes with portable restrooms, complimentary parking, 18 tables, 120 chairs, reclaimed wood tables and benches, lawn games, and a fire pit!
If you’re an adventerous couple looking to center your wedding or elopement around the outdoors, look no further than Alpine Lakes High Camp. Sitting deep within the wilderness and providing access to the gorgeous Alpine Lakes Wilderness region, you and your guests will be dazzled with the beauty. The property boosts 9 off the grid cabins that you can rent out completely for your event! Accommodates up to 50 people and they are dog friendly! Whether you choose a summer/fall wedding with hiking as the main point or consider a winter wonderland wedding with back country skiing! This is truly the ultimate forest wedding venue!
To be completely honest, I am DYING that I never came across this venue! I would have had my elopement/wedding celebration here in a heart beat!!!! So, 5 year vow renewal here I come!!
If a fairy-tail woodland intimate wedding or elopement sounds perfect then look no further than Fern Acres. Located out on the Olympic Peninsula, this gorgeous wedding venue boosts 5 acres of naturally wooded forest. Their ceremony site is prepped with wooden plank seating and can host up to 150 people. After, continue the celebration right on the property in their large reception tent! Complete with dance floor, drapery, and chandeliers.
Another reason Fern Acres is a great location for a wedding is its proximity to Olympic National Park! You’ll be able to have a gorgeous wedding at their location but you can easily head to the parks beaches or forests for beautiful portraits!
Another spectacular forest venue adorned with luxury treehouses, Treehouse Point is a fairytale dream! Located in Issaquah, Washington, Treehouse Point is set up to accommodate either 20 overnight guests for a slightly larger gathering, or just you and your partner for a smaller elopement.
There are so many opportunities for photos as we explore the 4-acre property of treehouses. In fact, we could easily incorporate a steamy session the morning of or night before your wedding in your personal treehouse! Head over to the investment page to check out elopement packages and steamy session add ons!
Twin Willow Gardens is textbook PNW. Small weddings are everything here: this venue is laid out so your ceremony is held in the forest, and your reception is held in a neighboring tent. The space is full of unparalleled beauty that can be made entirely your own. While it can be seen as a more “typical” wedding venue for traditional weddings, there is plenty we can do to alter the vibe to fit your unique personalities.
You can’t beat being 30 minutes from one of the world’s greatest photography destinations! Altimeter Cabin & Mountain Pavilion is a woodland paradise for small weddings located just outside the Nisqually Entrance of Mt. Rainier National Park. The pavilion itself seats up to 16, while the outdoor seating area can house up to 45. It’s edgy yet rustic, totally inclusive, and positioned on two private forested acres. My one condition? We must drive to Mt. Rainier National Park for photos!
