Fall Mt Hood Engagement Session

Amanda and Ian could not have picked a more perfect fall day to galavant around Mt Hood, Oregon and have their engagement session. Ian got down on one knee at Lost Lake just north of Mt. Hood the previous year, so it only made sense for us to locate the best volcano backdrop we could possibly find for their engagement photos.

We went for a playful autumn vibe to showcase their incredible personalities. They made it so, so easy for me to capture how much fun they have when they’re together.

Amanda is in the process of getting her nursing degree, and Ian is a video game streamer. It’s clear how ready they are to start their life together.

Amanda and Ian laughed through our entire session while the snow was just gracing Mt. Hood in the background!

We traveled around to multiple locations to create variety. Can you believe this weather?! Mt. Hood is seldom seen through Oregon gloom, but Amanda and Ian brought the sun.

When we reached a dry field of brush, Amanda changed her sweater to contrast the gold-hued background. I scouted this spot, completely isolated in Mt. Hood National Forest, so Amanda and Ian could frolic. It’s simply so fun to watch couples run towards each other like our very own Dirty Dancing moment!

Can I hear a little commotion for their RINGS!? Super adorable fact, Ian is already wearing a wedding band because he felt that they both should signify to the world that they are each others person without having to wait all the way till their wedding in July 2022! I just adore that!

And what’s an Oregon shoot without toasting a crisp Rainier? Props like this can add SO much personality!
